Multi-carrier labels and rates

Zenstores: UK Shipping

For a UK store bulk-printing Royal Mail, DPD or Parcelforce labels across Shopify plus eBay/Amazon/Etsy, this is a reliable back-office dispatch tool with unusually reachable UK phone and chat support — but almost all evidence is UK-only and there is barely any negative evidence to test it against.

Should you install it?

If you are a UK store bulk-shipping on Royal Mail, DPD, Parcelforce, Yodel, APC or DHL UK — especially one that has outgrown Click & Drop or is dispatching Shopify alongside eBay, Amazon, Etsy or Not on the High Street — this does the core job well and the reviews back that up at real volumes, up to 35k orders a month. The thing reviewers value most is not a feature, it is that you can get a named UK person on phone or live chat quickly, and that they will build niche things for you; that praise is consistent from 2015 through July 2026. The known gaps are old and mostly answered by later reviews: no inventory management (2023), one-way CSV sync for Not on the High Street (2022), no way to park orders for later printing (2022), and thin automation (2023, contradicted by 2026 reviews describing granular rules). Do not install it expecting checkout rates, tracking pages or returns — no reviewer mentions any of those — and if your carrier contract is an unusual service or a remote UK zone, confirm the exact service is supported before you build around it. Non-UK merchants should look elsewhere or test hard: 101 of 103 reviews are UK and every carrier named is UK.

Fair evidence. The positive evidence is rich and operationally specific — named carriers, named channels, stated order volumes, named competitors switched from — and it is consistent across eleven years. But there is almost nothing adverse to test it against: one negative review in eleven years, last seen August 2020, and every failure mode here is inferred from 4-star asides rather than observed failure. On top of that, about a quarter of the corpus arrived in a single five-month push in 2022 and the developer has not replied publicly since November 2022, so there is no recent public record of how they handle a genuine complaint. Review volume is also thin at 0.8/month, so a current problem could simply be unreported.

Right for

  • UK Shopify merchants printing Royal Mail labels in bulk, especially anyone who has outgrown Click & Drop — one reviewer put the breaking point at about 300 orders/day [8302]
  • Multi-channel sellers running Shopify alongside eBay, Amazon, Etsy or Not on the High Street who want one dispatch screen and one 'despatch' click that notifies every channel [4023, 2212, 4569]
  • Operations running multiple Shopify stores — one reviewer runs 5 [7952], another 2 plus eBay and Amazon [6318]
  • High-volume single brands: 200 orders most days [6865], 1,500/month average and 6,000 in a busy month [2212], c.35k orders/month [6956]
  • Merchants who want rule-based automation on carrier/service selection rather than manual entry [8394, 1148]
  • Merchants who value getting a named human on phone or live chat quickly, and who want to ask for niche features [7046, 6235, 7893]
  • Stores using Royal Mail DMO/BOA, DPD, Parcelforce, Yodel, APC, DHL UK or Parcel2Go [8017, 2003, 4535, 9881, 4438, 6489]

Wrong for

  • Non-UK stores. 101 of 103 reviews are from the UK; every carrier named is a UK carrier. There is one Austrian [8303] and one Japanese [2191] reviewer and neither says which carriers they use, so there is no usable evidence for non-UK fit
  • Anyone needing inventory or stock management — a reviewer asked for it in 2023 and no later review mentions it existing [5867]
  • Merchants wanting checkout shipping rates, rate shopping at checkout, branded tracking pages or returns — no review in the corpus mentions any of these
  • Merchants who want everything inside the Shopify admin; the real product is an external platform and the app is the connector [4023]
  • Not on the High Street sellers wanting two-way sync — it is CSV in and manual despatch marking out, as of Oct 2022 [7046]
  • Anyone on an unusual or remote-zone carrier contract (Highlands and Islands, Isle of Man, Channel Islands, Northern Ireland-internal services) — check the exact service is supported before you commit [0198]
  • Amazon Handmade sellers needing personalisation text to flow through — that was manual as of 2018 [2212]

What will annoy you

Some marketplace links are one-way or manual — NOTHS by CSV with no despatch writeback, Amazon Handmade personalisation typed by hand, sync slower than wanted: 3 reviews, fading, last seen 2022-10.

How the developer behaves when it breaks

Public replies stop dead on 8 November 2022 — there is no developer reply to any review after that date, including all 10 reviews in the last 12 months. Overall reply rate is 22%, and most of those replies are clustered in two batches (June-July 2022 and 8 November 2022) and are generic thank-yous. Treat this as public-reply silence, not support silence: reviews right through 2026 describe fast live chat, email and phone answers from named staff [7893, 6188, 6205]. On substance, the single negative review was answered within 10 days with a claim that the missing Parcelforce service had since been added [0198], and a 4-star feature request was passed to the development team [6865]. Multiple reviewers say suggestions were actually built [1115, 5842, 6235].

Red flags

  • Historic only (last seen Aug 2020, one review in eleven years): a merchant subscribed for 4 months on the strength of advertised Parcelforce support, then found their specific contract service (Parcelrider Plus, Northern Ireland to Northern Ireland) was not supported and support twice declined to add it. The developer replied publicly that the service is now supported. No later review confirms or contradicts that, so treat it as fixed on the developer's word only, and check your exact carrier service before you build a workflow on it. 0198

Trend

Volume is flat and low: 10 reviews in the last 12 months versus 10 in the 12 months before, about 0.8/month, against 103 over 11 years. All 10 recent reviews are 5-star and none reports a failure beyond one vague aside — [6205] 'There have been a few sticking points along the way'. The content has shifted. The 2016-2019 story was Royal Mail Dispatch Manager bulk printing replacing copy-paste; the 2025-26 story is granular automation rules [8394], outgrowing Click & Drop at 100-300 orders/day [8302], and merchants arriving after ShipStation and EasyShip could not do what they needed [6895]. That directly contradicts the April 2023 complaint that it 'Lacks advanced automation workflows' [6956], which is the clearest evidence the product has moved on. The one thing that got worse is public engagement: developer replies ceased entirely in November 2022, though in-app support praise has not dropped off at all.
