Trackr: Order Tracking UpSell
A cheap, good-looking tracking page with unusually hands-on support, but the two most recent substantive complaints both come from multi-year customers hitting wrong tracking data and downtime — first impressions are much better documented than the long run.
Should you install it?
Trackr puts a tracking page on your own domain, pulls multiple carriers into one view with no carrier list to configure, and its support team will do CSS work to make the page match your theme — that combination is consistently praised across eleven years and is the real reason to install it. The risk is not the feature set but the data: the most detailed recent review is from a six-year customer whose tracking map showed packages coming from Thailand and the USA instead of Athens, a fault reported for three months without a durable fix, and another long-tenure store reported the app down in June 2026. Note the pattern — short-tenure reviewers are almost uniformly happy and the complaints come from people who stayed, which is the opposite of a reassuring shape. The billing complaints about losing prepaid money on a plan upgrade are real but date to Nov 2022 and have not recurred. If accurate origin and delivery status are merely convenient for you, this is a reasonable, inexpensive choice; if your brand promise depends on them, or you need a merchant-side dashboard of all orders, verify both during the trial before you commit to an annual plan.
Thin evidence. Only five reviews in the last 12 months, two of them negative, so the current picture rests on a handful of accounts. 55% of reviewers had used the app under a month and eight 5-star reviews were written after one or two minutes, so much of the positive record carries no information about reliability. The developer's support domain and company name change across the history, meaning older praise may describe a different operator. No review states an order volume and only one carrier (USPS) is named anywhere, so fit at scale and carrier coverage are untestable from this evidence.
Right for
- Small stores that want the tracking page on their own domain instead of sending customers to a carrier site ([0238], [9122], [6399])
- Merchants who want the page restyled to match a specific theme and are willing to ask support to do the CSS work ([1576], [1194], [1306])
- Dropshippers who need supplier/origin details hidden from the customer-facing view ([4189], [8978], [5700])
- Stores shipping with several carriers at once that want one tracking view with no carrier list to configure ([6399], [7915], [0238])
- Merchants whose main goal is fewer 'where is my order' emails ([4103], [1306], [8778])
Wrong for
- Brands whose positioning depends on accurate origin data — one reviewer's map showed packages shipping from Thailand and the USA instead of Athens, Greece, and it was not fixed over three months ([3528])
- Merchants who need an internal dashboard listing all orders and their tracking status; a reviewer found none and the developer called it roadmap in 2021, with no later review confirming it shipped ([6567])
- Anyone who cannot absorb an occasional full outage of the tracking page ([4001], [8662])
- Merchants who expect to change plan mid-term without losing what they already paid — reported by three stores in Nov 2022, unconfirmed since ([4308], [4309], [4310])
- Stores wanting product images inside the tracking view ([8647])
What will annoy you
Money already paid is lost when upgrading plan mid-term; unfriendly billing conversations: 4 reviews, fading, last seen 2022-11.
How the developer behaves when it breaks
Replies to 46% of all reviews and 62% of negatives, usually within one to three days, in a polite and apologetic register. Substance varies. Genuine resolutions exist: a requested estimated-delivery-date feature was built and the reviewer raised 3 stars to 5 ([7915]); an unintended annual charge was refunded ([8688]); an outage was fixed and explained as a hosting-provider DDoS ([4001]); a feature the reviewer thought was missing was pointed out as already present ([8647]). Against that, the strongest recent negative describes months of assurances that did not hold and then silence on a Shopify Markets compatibility question ([3528]) — the developer's reply asserts a 15 September update, which is the developer's word, not the merchant's. The three Nov 2022 billing complaints each drew an apology and an offer to talk, but the replies also say the merchants did not respond, so there is no evidence of resolution ([4308], [4309], [4310]). The two 1-star reviews saying tracking simply does not work got no reply at all ([8662], [1751]).

Red flags
- Tracking has gone fully down at least once recently; the developer attributed it to a DDoS attack on their hosting provider and said it was resolved ([4001]). An older 1-star from a store of over a year says tracking returned nothing at all ([8662]). 4001 8662
- A six-year customer reports repeated assurances that a permanent fix was coming, over three months, with the same faults recurring, then no reply at all when they asked about the Shopify Markets update notice. They left for another app. 3528
- Three German stores on the same day in Nov 2022 report that money paid on a lower plan is forfeited when upgrading. No review since 2022 repeats this, so it may be fixed — but only about 15 reviews have landed since, so absence of evidence is thin here. 4310 4309 4308
- One store was charged $48 for an annual plan on reinstall because the free trial had already been used the previous year; the developer refunded it after a few days. 8688
- The operator appears to have changed or rebranded at least twice: developer replies give support@eoscity.com (2020), support@parceltrackr.com (2021) and name 'SharkByte Inc' (2022). Praise from the 2015-2021 era may not describe the team you would deal with today. 7018 8688 5700 4308
Trend
Note that the supplied list is not in date order: the 2022 German billing complaints sit at the top but are nearly four years old, and the 2026 reviews are buried mid-list. Sorted properly, only five reviews landed in the last 12 months and two are negative ([4001] 1-star, [3528] 2-star) — a 40% negative share against 14% lifetime. Volume has collapsed to roughly 0.4 reviews a month. The composition has also inverted. Through 2015-2021 the praise came overwhelmingly from stores that had used the app for minutes to weeks, and the complaints were about missing features. In 2023-2026 all three substantive negatives come from long-tenure customers — [8662] over a year, [3528] almost six years, [4001] over a year — and they are about the core job failing: wrong data, stale statuses, downtime. The positives in that same window are from one- and two-year stores and describe capabilities older reviews never mention (Wallet passes, product recommendations on the tracking page), so the product has clearly moved on. Separately, developer replies show the support address changing from eoscity.com to parceltrackr.com and the company named as SharkByte Inc, so the 2015-2021 support reputation should not be assumed to transfer.
