TrackingMore Order Tracking
Cheap, easy to set up, with live-chat support people genuinely rave about — but the last year's reviews say the thing it exists to do, refresh carrier statuses on time, has become unreliable.
Should you install it?
TrackingMore is a cheap, quick-to-install branded tracking page with live-chat support that a very large number of merchants describe as genuinely excellent, and for a small store on a free or low plan wanting to cut 'where is my order' emails it still does that job. The problem is what the last twelve months say: reviews dropped from 107 to 19 while negative share rose to 21%, and the complaints now come from one-to-three-year customers all reporting the same defect — carrier statuses that don't refresh, orders stuck in one state, and manual re-tracking required. One store on the highest plan left after support confirmed USPS and DHL syncs can take 48 hours; another reports 'delivered' emails going out for orders not yet shipped on Mondial Relay. Support replies to everything but resolves the technical cases inconsistently, and the fixes that did land came only after a public review, which is a poor thing to depend on. Install it if you are small, on mainstream carriers, and can live with lagging statuses; do not build a high-volume or French/regional-carrier operation on it without first testing status latency against real orders.
Fair evidence. The positive signal is badly contaminated — 69% of reviewers used the app under a month, many rated within minutes, several said outright they had not used it, and a large share read as solicited during onboarding chat, so the 4.77 average cannot be taken at face value. The negative signal is thin in absolute count (15 lifetime, 4 in the last year) but unusually credible: it comes from long-tenure paying customers, it is specific and mechanical rather than vague, and it is consistent across four countries. I am confident about the direction of travel and about what the app is for; I cannot tell from reviews alone how widespread the sync degradation is, since only 19 reviews cover the entire period in which it is reported.
Right for
- Small and new stores who want a branded tracking page on a free or low-cost plan and will use live chat to get it styled and configured
- Dropshippers with long transit times who mainly need an estimated-delivery-date display and a self-serve page to cut 'where is my order' emails (6962, 7625)
- Stores on mainstream international carriers (USPS, UPS, DHL) that can tolerate status updates being hours behind
- Merchants who want shipment data exported for delivery-performance reporting — 3395 automated a monthly download that replaced a few hours of work per week
- Stores wanting low-cost Klaviyo-driven post-purchase email (5735, 2885), though 8199 had that same integration fail outright
Wrong for
- High-volume domestic US operations needing hourly status refresh — 8829 was on the highest plan and left over 48-hour USPS/DHL lag
- Stores shipping with French or other local/regional carriers: 8298 names Mondial Relay and advises against the app outright; 3063 (Mexico) and 3952 (Ecuador) hit the same local-carrier gap
- Anyone shipping China-to-Europe or intra-Europe where a first-mile/last-mile handover creates a second tracking number (0802)
- Merchants who need a broken feature fixed on a deadline — recent negatives describe days to weeks with no resolution (3217, 7381, 0723)
- Stores that need a refund path when the service underperforms — 0723 was refused because support maintained the app was working
What will annoy you
Carrier statuses go stale or stop updating; orders stick in one state and manual re-tracking is needed constantly: 9 reviews, rising, last seen 2026-06.
How the developer behaves when it breaks
Replies are near-universal (93%) but almost entirely templated, and on negatives the template is the same 'we have reached out via email' text regardless of the complaint (3217, 8298, 1984, 3820). Three edited negatives carry replies that don't match the review at all — 6075 (450+ deleted trackings) and 0851 (broken masking rules) both received 'thank you for your affirmation' / 'we appreciate your compliment' — so the headline 87% negative reply rate overstates how much engagement complaints actually got. Fixes do happen, but the pattern is that a public review is what triggers escalation: 6925 had the same breakage recur for months with support hand-patching '50+ broken orders' each time, then got a thorough review and a working app only after reviewing, closing with 'I just wish we had gotten the help sooner'. 9081 and 9994 (which also got a month refunded) follow the same shape. Against that, 0723, 3217 and 7381 were still unresolved at the time of writing, with 7381 reporting tickets open around three weeks. Two product concessions came directly from reviews: the free quota was raised from 20 to 50 lookups after 8813, and 6417 says a requested per-category delivery-time option was built and the team came back unprompted to configure it.

Red flags
- Paying merchant refused a refund while the core function was broken — support's position was that the app was working (June 2026, the most recent review in the set) 0723
- Billing/quota escalation: merchant reports being charged for 1,000 then 2,000 then 4,000 orders against actual volume that never approached it, after being told unused quota would roll over. Single report, October 2023; the developer's reply did not address the billing specifics 5199
- Data loss: over 450 tracking records reported deleted with no warning. Single report, October 2022; the attached developer reply is a mismatched 'thank you for your affirmation' template, so the complaint was never publicly answered 6075
- Privacy report: reviewer says the support chat exposed other stores' conversations and order/customer information before integration. Single report, September 2023, uninstalled within hours; the developer reply treated it as a generic bad experience and neither confirmed nor denied the exposure 9584
- Quota burned on backfill: a paid 2,500-tracking pack was consumed by historical orders, which also fired 'delivered' emails to months-old customers from the owner's personal address. 2020, resolved with credit — old, but the same backfill behaviour underlies later complaints 5116
- One publicly hostile developer reply to a low rating ('You only used 6 minutes, Just to give us a bad review... we will also explain this to Shopify officials'). May 2022 only; replies since are uniformly polite 7778
Trend
The last 12 months are a sharp break from the years before, in both directions. Volume collapsed from 107 reviews in the prior 12 months to 19, while negative share went from about 4% lifetime to 21% in that window. Four of the last twenty reviews are 1-star, and all come from stores with one to three years of tenure (0723 France ~1yr, 3217 Germany >1yr, 8298 France ~3yr, 8829 US 12 months), plus a long-standing 5-star reviewer in India downgrading to 3 stars in May 2026 (7381). These are not disappointed trialists; they are the app's own established customers. The complaints have also converged: where 2020-2023 negatives were scattered across billing, privacy, Klaviyo and quota, the 2025-2026 negatives say nearly the same thing — carrier statuses don't refresh, manual re-tracking is needed, and support can't fix it. 3820 (Australia, June 2024) dates the onset precisely: 'Fair to say this issue has started over the past few months only.' Meanwhile the support praise that dominates the positives has not changed in tone or volume across seven years, consistent with support being well staffed at onboarding while the data pipeline behind it degrades.
