Track123 Order Tracking
A cheap, quick-to-install branded tracking page with fast chat support. Before you rely on it, check that statuses actually refresh for your carriers, and set a spending cap so per-order overage charges can't surprise you.
Should you install it?
Track123 is an order-tracking page and customer-notification app, not a label or rates tool. It gets a branded lookup page live fast, fits most themes, and its chat team answers quickly, often removing the branding or tweaking CSS for you. Its best fit is small stores, dropshippers and PayPal sellers. The complaints that matter come from paying and long-time users: statuses that lag or stop syncing for some carriers, wrong estimates compared with UPS, stale 'Delivered' emails after install, and support that goes in circles on harder bugs. Before paying, especially annually, set a spending cap on usage charges, test your main carriers against their own sites for a couple of weeks, and switch on customer emails only once you've checked that old orders won't trigger them.
Fair evidence. There are many detailed negative and 'fixed after a problem' reviews spanning 2022–2026 to judge failures from. But the positive side is heavily inflated by reviews written minutes into use and apparently prompted by support chats, so real long-term reliability is less certain than the 4.9 suggests.
Right for
- New or small Shopify stores that want a branded tracking page live in minutes on a free or low-cost plan (4470, 6265, 1810, 1911)
- Dropshippers sourcing from AliExpress or CJDropshipping who want to hide China/supplier details on the tracking page (2105, 8001, 3512, 2075)
- PayPal sellers who want tracking numbers synced to PayPal without a separate app (6123, 8001, 6864)
- Stores that expect to lean on support chat for setup, custom CSS or carrier matching (0378, 8145, 2366)
- Merchants running several stores who want the same tracker on each (1213, 4122, 6198, 6512)
Wrong for
- US stores shipping LTL freight (R+L Carrier, Southeastern Freight, ABF, Estes, AAA, Saia): the app did not match these tracking numbers (9444)
- Stores that need carrier-accurate, same-day statuses and delivery estimates, e.g. for UPS, and can't live with lags of about a day or manual retracking (5826, 6113, 6507, 5034)
- Established stores switching from another tracker that can't risk 'Delivered' emails going out for orders delivered days or weeks ago (1316, 7410)
- Growing stores on a tight budget: cost rises with synced order volume, and charges above the plan quota have surprised reviewers (7677, 6447)
- Merchants who need fully editable notification emails, or both custom emails and Shopify-dashboard status updates at once (1546, 7410)
What will annoy you
Tracking statuses lag, stop syncing, or show wrong data compared with the carrier's site: 13 reviews, steady, last seen 2026-07.
How the developer behaves when it breaks
The developer replies to about 62% of negative reviews. Most replies are long apologies saying 'we've emailed you' (3487, 6519). Some give a real root cause and fix: an auto-translation bug that changed state abbreviations (2385), a carrier-status fix done the next day (0211), adding DX Secure after refusing at first (1851), LTL recognition put 'on roadmap' (9444), and an explanation of overage billing (6447). Several reviewers raised their rating after a fix (3436, 0333, 5137, 4962). Other issues came back or went unanswered: 1546 returned to 1 star after a 'fully resolved' reply, and 1316 and 6507 got no reply. One old apology reply sits on a review that is now positive (6402).

Red flags
- Usage-based overage billing: once the plan's order quota is used up, syncing keeps going and is charged extra unless you set a spending cap. One merchant on the $9 plan was billed $46 in a month, and the developer's own fix was to set the cap to $0.01. 6447 4122 7677
- One merchant said tracking was switched off without notice when their quota ran out, and they had to upgrade four times (to $69). 7677
- Status sync has silently stopped for long-time paying users, including after an Australia Post API change and on stores that paid a year upfront. Merchants had to find the problem themselves, and one asked for a refund. 2300 4962 6113 6507
- Turning on notifications can email customers about old, already-delivered orders. The developer says it sends emails for orders delivered in the past 7 days. 1316 7410
- Support linked removing the Track123 branding to a review request. This inflates the rating. 0595 8999 5261
- A developer reply said the problems were fully resolved, but the same reviewer later went back to 1 star after a case sat open for more than a week. 1546
Trend
Review volume is up (682 in the last 12 months vs 528 the year before), and the share of negative reviews rose slightly, from 1.5% overall to 1.9%. Recent text reviews are shorter and mostly praise support. The detailed negatives from the last 12 months are about tracking that doesn't refresh (Netherlands), a wrong UPS delivery estimate, crashes and about a day's lag on a prepaid annual plan, stale emails to customers, and support that loops or drops cases. In 2022 the app was free and praised as such. Complaints about pricing and overage billing started after paid plans arrived (2023 onward) and still appear in 2025–26. Carrier-coverage and PayPal-sync complaints were last seen in 2025.
