Skydropx Envíos y Fulfillment

Cheap, easy label buying for Mexican domestic sellers — but the 4.66 average was almost entirely collected in two short bursts in 2025, and the newest substantive review is a detailed complaint about surprise overweight charges deducted from your credit balance.

Should you install it?

If you sell domestically in Mexico and currently buy labels one carrier at a time, this does the obvious useful thing: Shopify orders land in its dashboard automatically, you compare rates, and reviewers consistently say the rates beat what they were paying elsewhere. Live support gets real praise, including one merchant who was refunded wrong charges. The thing to weigh against that is money: overweight surcharges get applied after shipping and taken from your prepaid credit balance, one merchant says a platform update removed the ability to dispute them, and the most detailed such complaint — August 2026, describing a 48-hour photo-evidence rule — got no developer reply, unlike 76% of the positive reviews. Treat the 4.4 listing rating with caution: it was manufactured almost entirely in two review bursts in June and October 2025, and of the three reviews in the ten months since, two are 1★. Reasonable to trial if you are Mexican and domestic, but fund the account in small increments, reconcile your credit balance against declared weights weekly, and confirm before installing that the carriers you actually use are still offered.

Thin evidence. The post-burst sample is n=3 — one positive, two negative — so there is almost no current evidence about how the app behaves today. The bulk of the corpus is a clustered collection push from 2025 with many content-free one-liners, no reviewer states an order volume, and only two carriers are named anywhere (both as removed). Whether the 2025 platform-migration faults were repaired cannot be determined from these reviews at all.

Right for

  • Mexico-based stores shipping domestically who want to rate-shop several carriers in one place instead of buying labels carrier by carrier (8014, 8999, 6341)
  • Sellers who currently generate labels manually in Shopify and want orders to flow automatically into a label dashboard (3157, 4836, 6512)
  • Merchants already using Skydropx outside Shopify who want the two connected (3157, 9336)
  • Beginners — several reviewers specifically call the interface simple for people new to shipping (9099, 6414, 6347)

Wrong for

  • Stores outside Mexico. 37 of 38 reviews are Mexican; the single Colombian review is the worst in the set and describes an integration problem unresolved for months (8862)
  • Anyone who needs 99 Minutos or JT Express — one reviewer says both were removed and are no longer offered (6341)
  • Stores that cannot absorb unpredictable post-hoc weight surcharges debited from a prepaid balance, or that need a workable dispute process for them (3191, 7644)
  • Stores needing partial or split shipments per order (6968)
  • Stores needing cash on delivery / pago contra entrega (6142)
  • Anyone evaluating on current evidence rather than 2025 evidence — only 3 reviews exist after November 2025 and two of them are 1★

What will annoy you

Sobrepeso (overweight) surcharges applied after the fact and debited from your credit balance, with disputes obstructed or removed. The most detailed account says promo-rate shipments at $52–54 MXN were followed by surprise surcharges, and that a claim requires photos of the package on a scale with the label visible inside 48 hours or it is voided; the reviewer says the carrier itself told them the system had detected *less* weight than declared. A second reviewer says disputes were possible before a platform update and afterwards only the credit deductions appear with no way to act. A third had the charges refunded by support.: 3 reviews, steady, last seen 2026-08.

How the developer behaves when it breaks

Replies to 76% of reviews overall and 0 of 2 negatives. The replies to positive and mixed reviews are templated — emoji, thanks, and 'tomamos nota' — and were posted in batches: all seven June 2025 reviews were answered on a single day, 7 October 2025, months late and in the middle of a review burst. Nothing indicates the noted items get fixed: the sobrepeso complaint acknowledged with 'tomamos nota' in October 2025 (7644) reappears worse and unanswered in August 2026 (3191); partial shipments (6968), COD (6142) and the address-field limit (1703) were all 'noted' with no later confirmation. Separate this from their support chat, which several merchants say does work — 5982 got money back for wrong surcharges, and 2128 and 6181 praise fast help. Good live support, hollow public-review handling.

“cuando se terminan esos envíos de la nada te crean cargos extra de supuestos sobrepesos” review 3191
  • Regressions from the platform migration: lost saved customer addresses, session logouts, and a slower interface than the old one. Note the silence since October 2025 is absence of data, not evidence of repair — only three reviews exist after that date and none mention the platform either way. 3 reviews fading, last seen 2025-10
“con el cambio se perdieron varios domicilios de clientes que ya teníamos dados de alta” review 6181
  • Data does not round-trip cleanly with Shopify. Two reports with different symptoms, merged here: one says a shipment created in Skydropx does not show as shipped back in Shopify, the other says Shopify address data is pulled in wrongly and must be corrected by hand (though quickly). The second reviewer also wants more characters/an extra line for address references. 2 reviews fading, last seen 2025-10
“lo malo es cuando la quieres enlazar con la página no te sale que ya está enviado” review 7737

  • Missing capabilities several merchants say they need: partial or split shipments per order, and cash on delivery (pago contra entrega). The developer replied 'tomamos nota' to both; no review since confirms either shipped. 3 reviews steady, last seen 2025-10
“Lo único que le falta para ser perfecto, es que soporte los envíos parciales o separados.” review 6968
  • Carrier coverage shrank — a reviewer says carriers they used on a previous platform were dropped and have never been selectable here 1 review steady, last seen 2025-10
“no me aparecen ciertas paqueterías que antes usaba en otra plataforma y que quitaron, aquí nunca me ha dado la opción de usarlas. 99 Minutos y JT Express.” review 6341

  • An integration broken for months with no fix from Skydropx's systems team. This is the newest review in the set and the only one from outside Mexico. Its tenure reads 'About 1 hour using the app' while the text says 'llevamos meses' — most likely a Skydropx account predating the Shopify install, or a reinstall. One report only; do not over-read it, but do not dismiss it either. 1 review steady, last seen 2026-09
“llevamos meses con un problema en la integracion y no han podido resolverlo” review 8862

“una vez tuve problemas con sobre cargos pero la atención al cliente resuelve y es rapida y me regresarón mi dinero.” review 5982

Red flags

  • Billing surprise: overweight surcharges appear after shipping and are taken straight out of your prepaid credit balance. One reviewer says a platform update removed the ability to dispute them, leaving only the deductions visible; another describes a 48-hour photo-evidence requirement that invalidates claims. Last reported August 2026 and unanswered by the developer. 3191 7644
  • Data loss during the platform migration: saved customer addresses already entered were lost in the changeover. 6181
  • Zero developer replies to either negative review, against a 76% reply rate on positives — including the two most recent and most substantive reviews in the whole set. 3191 8862
  • Silent feature removal: a carrier set and a dispute workflow both disappeared in updates, per merchants who noticed after the fact. 6341 7644

Trend

Reviews are heavily front-loaded rather than accumulating. The last 12 months nominally hold 31 of 38 reviews, but almost all of those sit in the October–November 2025 burst; since 10 November 2025 there have been three reviews total — 5★ in February 2026, then 1★ in August 2026 and 1★ in September 2026. So the recent signal is inverted against the headline average: the newest, longest and most specific reviews are the negative ones, and both went unanswered. Theme mix also shifted. The 2025 burst is dominated by price and ease-of-use praise with mild platform-migration grumbles; the two 2026 negatives are about money taken after the fact and an integration left broken for months. Whether the migration problems of late 2025 were fixed is simply unknown — nobody has reported on them since.
