Multi-carrier labels and rates
ShippingEasy
A capable multi-channel batch-label tool that long-tenured US sellers relied on for years, but every review in the last 12 months is a complaint — Shopify status not syncing back, support quality dropping, and charges continuing after uninstall.
Should you install it?
ShippingEasy is a mature multi-channel batch-shipping desk: import orders from Shopify, Amazon, eBay, Etsy and Walmart into one queue, apply rules, and print USPS/UPS/FedEx/DHL labels and packing slips to a thermal printer. Hundreds of US merchants say it did that well and that support answered the phone — but nearly all of that evidence is from 2013–2022, and the reviews have almost stopped. Every one of the four reviews in the last 12 months is a problem report, and the pattern across 2023–2026 is consistent: fulfilment status not syncing back to Shopify (last seen March 2026, and it caused $20,000 of duplicate shipments for one store in 2020), support that long-tenured customers say has declined, and billing that continues after uninstall. The developer almost never replies publicly — two boilerplate replies in 340 reviews, one of them six months late — so if something breaks you are relying on private support that recent reviewers say is worse than it was. If you run a single-location US store with heavy multi-channel batch volume and you test the Shopify fulfilment sync hard in week one, it may still work for you; if you are Canada-based, multi-location, low-volume, or comparing against free Shopify Shipping, the reviews point elsewhere.
Fair evidence. 340 reviews with text give a rich picture of what the app does and who it served, and the failure themes repeat across independent reviewers over a decade. But the evidence base for the strengths is 3–13 years old while the recent record is four reviews, all negative — so the current state of the product is inferred from a very thin recent sample. A share of the 5-star reviews were also written immediately after onboarding sales calls or within hours of install, which weakens them further.
Right for
- US sellers listing on several channels at once (Shopify plus Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Walmart) who want one queue for all labels (8767, 8245, 9621, 3310)
- Mid-volume US shippers — reviewers name 100 packages/week (2071), 500/month (5312), 50+ orders/day (2971), 1,000+/week (8537) — who need batch printing rather than one-off labels
- Stores with a thermal label printer: Zebra (4383, 1794), Rollo (8624), Dymo 4XL (6065), driven through the ConnectEasy desktop agent
- Operators willing to spend setup time on shipping rules, saved package presets and custom packing slips (9765, 4383, 8576, 5314)
- Single-location fulfilment operations — multi-location is explicitly unsupported per 0696
Wrong for
- Stores fulfilling from multiple locations — a reviewer says the app cannot support it and that ShippingEasy said it was not their problem (0696)
- Canada-based merchants: one could not complete signup because the form did not recognise Toronto, Ontario (1964); another was told a US address was required (9257)
- Alcohol shippers and anyone legally required to use their own negotiated carrier account — a nearly-9-year customer left over a surcharge for doing so (0335)
- Very low volume sellers — at roughly 40 orders/month it did not pay for itself (6573), and 5475 says the rates are not below free Shopify Shipping or Pirate Ship
- Stores needing FedEx SmartPost (9696) or irregular/poly-bag package types (3551)
- Anyone on the cheapest plan who will need bug support — 8262 and 9125 both say support is gated behind a paid plan
What will annoy you
Support quality has fallen — long-tenured customers say it used to be good and no longer is: 11 reviews, rising, last seen 2026-02.
How the developer behaves when it breaks
Almost no public replies: reply_rate_all is 0.01 and reply_rate_negative 0.06. Only two replies appear anywhere in 340 reviews, both boilerplate 'we have located your account, a team member will be in touch' — to 1642 (Apr 2025) and to 1270, where the reply is dated April 2025 for an October 2024 review, a roughly six-month lag. Neither thread shows the issue being fixed. Severe complaints with no reply at all include the $20,000 duplicate-shipment sync failure (9017), the $2,000 postage overcharge (9335), the multi-location refusal (0696), the 2026 Shopify sync failure (7411) and every billing-after-uninstall report. Within the app itself, pre-2023 reviewers describe fast one-to-one resolution by phone and chat (8274, 9051, 433 named reps), but 2025–2026 reviewers describe the opposite (7411, 3065, 5908).

What it does well 6 themes

- Reachable US phone and chat support with named reps — dominant in 2013–2022 reviews and contradicted by the 2025–2026 ones (2075908, 183065, 2137411) 160 reviews
“the one time I did have a major problem with a UPS transaction (which was purely the carrier's fault), SE's customer service were quick and super-helpful” review 8274
- Multi-channel inventory tracking and bundles feeding back to Shopify stock levels 16 reviews
“We are using ShippingEasy to track inventory, make adjustments, and update Shopify inventory levels, which is fairly simple to do.” review 1926
- USPS commercial-base postage savings — claimed consistently up to 2022, disputed from 2021 onward (845248, 679512, 2045475) 28 reviews
“Commercial Base pricing is as good as it gets- coupled with excellent tech support!!!!!!” review 3981
- Merging, splitting and manually adding orders that Shopify alone cannot handle 12 reviews
“The best part about this app is when I need to merge two orders into one shipment. Shopify makes it impossible to do that.” review 5248
Red flags
- Charges continue after the app is uninstalled or the account is cancelled; one reviewer needed three months to stop them, another was billed $69.99 on a suspended, unusable account 3348 5008 3950 0434 9512
- Silent sync breakage caused real money loss: duplicate shipments because fulfilment status never reached Shopify, with the error only visible if you check shipping history 9017 7411 1642
- Accounts suspended without warning or notification 5767 5008
- Support access tied to plan tier — bug reports refused on the lowest plan, and customer data locked behind a paid add-on 8262 9125 8845
- Postage funds tied up in the OneBalance/Stamps.com system with 6-8 week refund windows 9335 3171 8262
- Aggressive outbound sales contact after cancellation — four calls and an email the day after uninstalling 2096
Trend
The listing is effectively dormant and the recent signal has inverted. Only 4 reviews landed in the last 12 months (Sep 2025 – Sep 2026) and 3 of them are 2 stars or below: 7411 (Mar 2026, Shopify status will not sync back while WooCommerce and Amazon do), 5908 (Feb 2026, support language barrier, 'used to have good customer in the past'), 5475 (Jan 2026, glitchy dashboard, no cheaper than free alternatives), 3348 (Sep 2025, charges after uninstall). Extend the window to 2023–2026 and the picture holds: 0335, 8845, 5653, 1270, 1642, 2447, 5008, 3065 are all 1–2 stars. By contrast the 5-star bulk — hundreds of reviews praising phone support, batch printing and postage savings — is concentrated in 2013–2022 and stops almost entirely after mid-2022. Several of the recent complainants are 6–9 year customers saying the product got worse (3065, 2447, 3348, 0335, 9335), which is more informative than a new user's first impression.
