Shipping app picker

Pick, pack and warehouse

BR Pick List Pro

A focused, genuinely well-supported picking app whose developer ships requested features in days — and who in mid-2025 raised the price from $5–$10 to $20 with no new features and no grandfathering, which is why its longest-tenured merchants left.

Should you install it?

This is a picking and packing tool, not a shipping/carrier tool — it turns unfulfilled Shopify orders into a scannable, image-led pick list sorted by shelf location, then tags orders picked or fulfilled. On the job itself the reviews are consistent and credible across four years: it reduces mis-picks, removes printed picking slips, scans on a phone, POS or handheld, and scales from a sole trader to a 400k-SKU shop doing hundreds of orders a day. The standout is the developer: multiple merchants independently report requested features built within a week, and support is named and praised repeatedly. The standout risk is billing — in mid-2025 the price went to $20/month with no new functionality and no grandfathering, a 2x rise for some and 4x for others, and long-tenured merchants left for cheaper alternatives; one reports having to cancel and re-subscribe. Install it if the picking workflow is worth $20/month to you today, and do not assume that price is fixed.

Fair evidence. Only 30 reviews over 56 months, 4 negatives in total, and just 6 in the last 12 months — two of which are re-dated edits. The functional picture is coherent and repeated by independent reviewers, but the sample is too thin to detect current bugs or to know whether post-repricing churn has settled, and the 2022 complaints about performance and feature gaps have no recent data either confirming or refuting them.

Right for

  • Small and mid-size stores that pick and pack their own orders in-house and want a phone-based pick list instead of printed picking slips (7701, 7364)
  • Stores with large catalogues and shelf/bin locations who want picks sorted into an efficient walk route — one card-game shop reports 400k SKUs and hundreds of orders a day (8972, 9102)
  • Merchants who want a supplier who will actually build a small feature on request: bundled-item display and fulfilled-order visibility were both added within about a week (1540, 3405, 8972)
  • Barcode-scanning operations using Shopify POS, Shopify Mobile or ScanSKU handhelds, where any item on an order can be scanned in any sequence (0657, 5396)
  • Sole traders and part-time shippers who need picking accuracy more than throughput (7701)

Wrong for

  • Very low-volume stores where $20/month is a real share of app spend — several such merchants moved to a ~$2/month alternative (9133, 0830)
  • Merchants who need packaging or box-size recommendations, or a consolidated pick-by-product/quantity summary report across orders (4918)
  • Stores wanting deep workflow integration inside the Shopify orders dashboard, including partial-pick status on the order list (5372)
  • Anyone budgeting on the assumption that today's price holds — there is no evidence of grandfathering for existing subscribers (7704, 0082)
  • Stores with very large open-order backlogs who need instant list loads; 500+ unfulfilled orders produced multi-minute loads in 2022 (9094)

What will annoy you

Price raised to $20/month in mid-2025 with no added functionality and no grandfathering; merchants on $5 saw a 4x rise, merchants on $10 a 2x rise, and several long-tenured stores left for a ~$2/month alternative: 7 reviews, steady, last seen 2025-09.

How the developer behaves when it breaks

Replies to 57% of reviews overall and 75% of negatives. On functionality the replies are substantive and often lead to a fix: workarounds and undocumented features explained in detail (5372), an honest "Shopify's API doesn't expose that" with a referral elsewhere (4918), a diagnosis plus POS workaround for the iOS camera bug and a later note that Shopify fixed it (5396). Multiple reviewers confirm requested features shipped within a week or 24 hours (1540, 8972, 3405, 6337). On pricing the replies are a repeated template justifying $20 as market rate; no reviewer reports being offered a legacy plan, and one calls the reply cut-and-paste (7704, 6068, 0830, 3096).

What it does well 5 themes

  • Support answers fast and builds requested features within days or a week; Pramod is named repeatedly 16 reviews

  • Barcode scanning on a phone, Shopify POS or a handheld scanner, with items scannable in any order 4 reviews

Red flags

  • Mid-2025 repricing to $20/month with no new features and no grandfathering of existing subscribers; the developer's replies defend the price and offer no concession or legacy plan 9477 6068 9133 7704 0830
  • One merchant on two stores reports being made to cancel the existing subscription and re-subscribe at the higher rate — a billing mechanic, not just a price change 0082
  • Near-identical boilerplate replies to every pricing complaint; one reviewer calls it out as a cut-and-paste response 6068 7704 0830 3096

Trend

The last 12 months look clean on paper — 6 reviews, all 5-star, zero negatives — but that is 6 reviews at roughly 0.5/month, and two of them are re-dated edits of older reviews. The real event sits just outside that window: between July and September 2025, seven merchants, several with 2–4 years of use, complained about the jump to $20/month, and at least four said they were leaving, mostly for a ~$2/month alternative. Complaints stopped after September 2025 because the repricing was a one-time event and the unhappy cohort churned out, not because anything was fixed; the $20 price stands. The older functional complaints (basic feature set, dashboard integration, slow loads with big backlogs) are all from 2022 and have not recurred, and the developer's 2025 replies list features added since (automated fulfilment, multi-location, grouping and sorting, exports, history) that the 2022 reviewers were missing.
