Pickify ‑ Orders Picklist
A cheap, deliberately bare pick list generator that reliably consolidates items across many orders and whose developer actually builds what merchants ask for — but it is not a packing tool and not bundle-aware.
Should you install it?
Pickify does one job: turn a set of selected Shopify orders into one consolidated list of items to go and collect, saved and exportable to PDF/CSV/Excel. Reviewers who batch-pick say it removes an hour of manual list-building a day ([9687]) and that it keeps working over a year or more ([6365], [5370]); it runs on phone and tablet ([7079], [5370]), and two 2024 reviewers name $2/month ([3432], [0870]). The known limits are what happens after picking — the list does not tell you which order each item belongs to, so splitting stock back into orders and printing packing slips is not covered ([8652], [4253]) — and, from one 8-month user in Aug 2025, poor bundle SKU handling plus no way to sort or edit the list ([1604]). The developer's pattern is to build what you ask for if you email: multiple unrelated merchants report features added on request ([7407], [1059], [6392], [5526]), though the listing's public reply rate is only 4 of 30 and the 2-star got no reply. Install it if you want a cheap consolidated picking list and nothing more; look elsewhere if you sell bundles or need pick-to-pack continuity.
Fair evidence. The upside is well evidenced — several independent long-tenure reviewers describe the same behaviour, and recent volume is rising with no negatives in 12 months. But the failure side rests almost entirely on one substantive negative ([1604]) plus two 2024 comments, and a third of reviewers had used the app under a month, so what actually breaks at sustained volume is thin. No review names order volumes, so I cannot judge how it scales.
Right for
- Small and mid-size stores that batch-pick several orders at once and want one consolidated item list to walk the warehouse with ([9687], [1059], [4391])
- Merchants who want a single-purpose tool with nothing else bolted on ([5370], [6365])
- Pickers working off a phone or tablet on the warehouse floor ([7079], [5370], [4253])
- Stores that keep bin locations in a Shopify metafield and want to pick in warehouse-walk order ([4391])
- Stores migrating off a picking app that is shutting down, willing to raise feature requests and wait weeks for them ([7407], [1059])
Wrong for
- Stores selling bundles or kits — the one detailed negative says bundle SKUs are handled badly, and no other review confirms or contradicts it ([1604])
- Anyone who needs to re-sort or edit the pick list after it is generated ([1604])
- Merchants who need picking to flow into packing — splitting picked stock back into individual orders and printing batch packing slips ([8652], [4253])
- Stores wanting a broader WMS or fulfilment platform; reviewers themselves call it bare bones ([1604], [6365])
What will annoy you
Cannot sort or edit the generated pick list, specifically by vendor/brand — developer replied Aug 2025 saying vendor sorting had shipped, but the one review dated after that claim (four days later) still reported the problem; nothing in the 17 reviews since mentions it either way: 3 reviews, fading, last seen 2025-08.
How the developer behaves when it breaks
Two things are true at once. Feature requests made privately do get built, and merchants say so independently: [7407] was told by Antonio which features were coming in which week/month and then emailed with screenshots once done; [1059] says the devs closed the last 10% of their needs; [6392] got product grouping by name added; [5526] and [6410] both report features updated in response to their questions; [7079] says support 'also improves the features'. Public replies on the listing are rare — 4 of 30 reviews — and are weakest exactly where it matters: the 2★ [1604] got no reply at all, and the 3★ [3416] got one five months later. So if you hit a limitation, email them rather than expecting the listing to show responsiveness.
What goes wrong 4 recurring themes
- Cannot sort or edit the generated pick list, specifically by vendor/brand — developer replied Aug 2025 saying vendor sorting had shipped, but the one review dated after that claim (four days later) still reported the problem; nothing in the 17 reviews since mentions it either way 3 reviews fading, last seen 2025-08
“you cannot sort/edit the pick list in any way. For example, I'd love to be able to sort the picklist to be organized by brand/vendor before printing it out.” review 1604
- Bundle SKUs handled poorly — a single uncorroborated report from an 8-month user; no other review mentions bundles at all, so this is unverified rather than established 1 review steady, last seen 2025-08
“It does not handle bundle SKUs well” review 1604
Also 1604 - List does not show which order each item belongs to, so picked stock cannot be separated back into orders for packing; no batch packing slips 2 reviews fading, last seen 2024-05
“all orders are bunched up, so when you pick, you don't know how to separate one from each other” review 8652
- Print/PDF gaps — missing print button, PDF lacked product images, list titles not renameable, cramped on small screens; developer replied that images shipped and later mobile praise suggests the layout issue was addressed 3 reviews resolved, last seen 2024-07
“This app would be better if: -The PDF for print list had product images.” review 4253
What it does well 4 themes
- Consolidates many orders into a single pick list and cuts picking time 11 reviews
“what took an hour of my day takes 30 seconds” review 9687
- Support (named as Antonio) replies fast and ships requested features 9 reviews
“Antonio replied almost instantly to let me know that was one being implemented the following week and the other the following month.” review 7407
- Simple, stable and cheap — $2/month named by two US reviewers in 2024 7 reviews
“At $2/month, Pickify is a no-brainer!” review 3432
- Works on mobile and tablet for picking on the floor 3 reviews
“Pickify does a great job and works very well on mobile too.” review 7079
Red flags
- The only 2-star review received no public developer reply, and the 3-star review waited five months for one (Mar 2, 2025 review; Aug 4, 2025 reply). Public reply rate is 4 of 30 overall. 1604 3416
- The Aug 2025 developer reply on [3416] states vendor sorting shipped, but [1604] four days later still reports no sorting. Treat the claim as unconfirmed by any reviewer. 3416 1604
Trend
The last 12 months brought 17 reviews versus 5 the year before, with zero negatives in that window. Quality of evidence improved too: recent reviews come from longer-tenured stores ([6365], [5370], [6410] at a year or more) rather than the same-day trials that dominated 2024. Themes have shifted from missing basics to workflow depth — 2023-24 complaints about no print button, PDFs without images and cramped small-screen layout ([4253], [1879], [1614]) have gone quiet, and mobile flipped from a complaint in Oct 2023 ([4253]) to a selling point in late 2025 ([5370], [7079]). The open questions are the ones raised in the single Aug 2025 negative ([1604]) — bundles and list sorting — which no subsequent review revisits.
