PeakShip
If you ship inside Hungary with GLS, MPL, DPD, ExpressOne, Foxpost or Packeta, this does pickup points, COD fees and labels in one app with unusually fast hands-on setup support — but 55 five-star reviews, most written within days of installing, tell you nothing about what happens when it breaks.
Should you install it?
PeakShip is a Hungary-first shipping app: pickup-point map at checkout, labels for GLS, MPL, DPD, ExpressOne, Foxpost and Packeta, COD fee handling, and automatic order-status updates, with the vendor doing much of the install for you — 7729 says they replaced two other apps with it at under half their previous cost, and 1604 and 0672 confirm it removed the need for a separate hide-payment app. What the reviews establish well is the buying and setup experience: 42 of 47 texted reviews praise how fast and hands-on support is, and Ákos is named repeatedly. What they do not establish is reliability under load or recovery from failure — there is not one negative review, not one mention of an order volume, and only five reviewers had used the app longer than three months. Because 69% of reviewers had been on the app under a month and eight wrote within 24 hours of installing, several of them praising the onboarding reply itself, the 5.0 rating should be read as a verdict on onboarding, not on operations. Install it if you ship inside Hungary with these carriers and want the map and COD in one place; do not install it expecting the review record to have de-risked anything for you.
Thin evidence. Zero negative and zero mixed reviews across 55, so there is no evidence of failure modes, no evidence of how the developer handles a complaint, and nothing to triangulate the praise against. The tenure distribution compounds this: 69% under a month, 8 reviews written within 24 hours of install, and only 5 reviewers past three months. All but 3 reviews come from Hungary, so nothing outside that market is tested. Public developer replies stopped in June 2025, removing the other observable signal.
Right for
- Hungarian stores that need a pickup-point map at checkout for Foxpost, Packeta, GLS or MPL (3135, 4413, 4518, 1539)
- Stores charging cash-on-delivery fees who want to drop a separate hide-payment/hide-shipping app to do it (1604, 0672, 4518)
- New or small shops that want the vendor to do the install and checkout styling for them, often within hours (3135, 1548, 1372, 1604)
- Stores using several Hungarian carriers at once who want one app instead of per-carrier tools (2630 GLS+MPL, 1604 DPD+Foxpost/Packeta, 7729 ExpressOne)
- Merchants who need multiple labels on one order and automatic order-status/paid updates from carrier data (6321, 1420)
Wrong for
- Stores shipping outside Hungary, Slovakia or Croatia — no reviewer ships from anywhere else, so cross-border behaviour is untested in this record
- Anyone needing UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS or another global carrier — not one review names a carrier outside the HU/CEE set
- Multi-channel sellers — no reviewer mentions Amazon, eBay, a marketplace or any source of orders other than Shopify
- High-volume operations — no reviewer states an order count, so there is no evidence the app has been stress-tested at scale
- Merchants who want to see how a vendor handles a public complaint before installing — there are zero negative reviews and no public reply since June 2025
What will annoy you
Nothing recurring in the reviews.
How the developer behaves when it breaks
Seven public replies exist, all posted on a single day — June 25, 2025 — answering reviews from April 30 to June 20, 2025 (2745, 1420, 1539, 1046, 6321, 9580, 2360). There have been no public replies to the roughly 40 reviews since. Separately, reviewers report problems being fixed privately and quickly over email or chat: 2587 says they got an answer and a fix about 15 minutes after writing, 6321 names Ádám in support as solving their custom problem within hours, 0892 says the team is reachable any time and solved a problem specific to their store, and 4518 describes setup being completed via remote help. Because there is not a single negative review in the record, there is no evidence at all of how this developer responds when a merchant complains in public or when something goes wrong after go-live.

Trend
Almost nothing has changed. Volume is flat — 29 reviews in the last 12 months against 26 in the prior period, about 2.4 a month since the first review on 2025-04-30 — and the themes are identical end to end: support responsiveness, fast setup, pickup-point map. The recent Slovak reviews (5483, 4843) are the only widening of the footprint, and it is slight. The one real change over time is that public developer replies stopped: all seven are dated June 25, 2025, and none of the roughly 40 reviews since has been answered publicly. Note that 8125 is dated October 27, 2025 but appears out of sequence because it is an edited review; do not read a timeline into it. The 9-month review 2581 from August 2026 is the only substantial long-tenure account in the last year.
