Parcely.app
If you sell in the Baltics or CEE and need customers to pick a parcel locker before they pay without being on Shopify Plus, Parcely does it and the founder will set it up for you free — but the reviews measure his setup service far more than they measure the app running at volume.
Should you install it?
Parcely does one regional job well: it puts a parcel-locker picker on your cart page before payment, covering DPD, Omniva, Itella/Smartpost, Venipak, Latvijas pasts and Unisend across Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Hungary, and the developer will configure the whole thing for you at no charge. That cart-page placement is the reason merchants pick it over alternatives that only ask for a locker after payment [2716, 5606] — and it is also the one thing the harshest recent reviewer dislikes, calling it an extra step [7306]; decide which side of that you're on before installing. Support is genuinely fast for most people, but four merchants across three years report emails going unanswered, and the developer's public replies to criticism argue more often than they fix [7306, 6256, 9827]. Known hard limits: no automated Smartposti Latvia exchange as of July 2025, intermittent Foxpost, no labels before payment capture, and one report that it doesn't work with subscription apps. If you're outside the Baltics/CEE this is not your app [9372].
Fair evidence. 61 reviews with text is a reasonable base, but 56% of reviewers had used the app under a month and most five-star reviews praise the free onboarding rather than day-to-day shipping, so the sample tells you much more about setup than about reliability at volume. No reviewer states an order count, so I can't judge how it holds up under load. Only 6 negatives exist in total and just one substantive one in the last 12 months, which leaves the recent risk picture thin — that single critique is detailed and unresolved but uncorroborated, so I can neither dismiss nor confirm it.
Right for
- Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian stores shipping to lockers via DPD, Omniva, Itella/Smartpost, Venipak, Latvijas pasts or Unisend [5462, 4333, 3990, 2965]
- Stores not on Shopify Plus that want the locker chosen before payment rather than after — reviewers name this as the specific reason they chose it [2716, 5606, 9826]
- Hungarian and Czech/Slovak stores wanting locker pickup alongside courier [3267, 3423, 8324, 3589]
- Solo operators and small merchants who want someone else to do the integration: the developer configures carrier API keys and shipping methods free of charge [0382, 2232, 0384, 4713]
- Merchants who value a founder-level support contact reachable evenings and weekends, in Estonian as well as English [8752, 2965, 0382]
Wrong for
- UK and Western European stores — the carrier list is Baltic/CEE and a UK merchant found it unusable within 15 minutes [9372]
- Stores running a subscription app: one recent detailed review says it does not work at all with them [7306]
- Merchants who want locker selection inside Shopify checkout rather than on the cart page; the developer's own reply says checkout-level selection is plan-gated [7306]
- Stores shipping before payment is captured — labels only generate on paid orders, COD excepted [3642]
- Latvian stores depending on Smartposti Latvia, which had no automated data exchange as of July 2025 [5462]
- Anyone needing per-country control of courier (non-locker) methods, which one reviewer reports is all-or-nothing [7306]
What will annoy you
Support emails reported unanswered or never delivered; developer replies point at spam filtering, merchant experiences it as silence: 4 reviews, steady, last seen 2026-02.
How the developer behaves when it breaks
Replies to 100% of negative reviews and about half of all reviews. The reply is usually a rebuttal plus an offer to set things up: 'This review is unfair' [6256], 'even though it's unfair ... 50% of the time is just a lie' [7306], 'Please consider changing the review as its a little bit unfair :)' [9827]. He does concede and explain design constraints clearly — label generation requiring paid status [3642], checkout-level locker selection being limited to certain Shopify plans [7306]. Fixes visibly landing are rarer: a CZ location bug fixed in two hours [6256] and a no-argument refund [6402]. In three disputes the diagnosis offered is that his emails went to the merchant's spam folder [9832, 9827, 7306], which is plausible but leaves the merchant's experience unchanged.

Red flags
- Developer publicly disputes negative reviewers in combative terms — 'even though it's unfair', calling a support claim 'just a lie' [7306], 'This review is unfair' [6256], 'Please consider changing the review' [9827], and labelling one reviewer's store possibly fake [7632]. Every negative gets a reply, but most replies argue rather than fix. 7306 6256 9827 7632 9372
- Support email deliverability: in three separate disputes the developer says his replies went to spam or that he had to email from a personal address. Whatever the cause, three merchants believed they were ignored. 7306 9832 9827
- Stale, not current: trial billing confusion — one merchant charged the day after install despite an advertised 14-day trial [6256, Jan 2023], one unable to find how to cancel [9827, Sep 2024]. Nothing similar in the last 12 months, and one merchant was refunded without argument [6402, Feb 2026]. 6256 9827 6402
Trend
Volume is flat and low: 13 reviews in the last 12 months against 15 the prior 12. The negative share rose to 15.4% (2 of 13), but one of those is a no-text 1-star left after six minutes [7632], so there is really one substantive recent complaint [7306]. The theme mix has shifted in a telling way: the 2020–2023 block is almost uniformly 'they set it up for me free', while 2025–2026 reviews increasingly describe something breaking after a theme or store change and being fixed fast [0039, 1838, 9540] — the signature of an installed base rather than a stream of new installs. The Feb 2026 critique [7306] raises issues never mentioned before: subscription-app incompatibility, slow in-admin label printing, and cart-page-versus-checkout UX. None of it is corroborated yet, and it ended in a public dispute rather than a fix, so treat it as an open question rather than a settled defect. Nothing from the older complaint set (trial billing, mobile locker search, 15–30 minute settings lag) has recurred since 2024.
