SellerDash: AusPost Shipping

If you ship with Australia Post MyPost Business, it stops you copy-pasting addresses and gets you fast local support, but check the per-label fees and know that each order ships as one parcel.

Should you install it?

This is a label tool for Australia Post MyPost Business, with eParcel contract accounts also supported. It creates the label, pays for it from your Australia Post account, prints it, fulfils the Shopify order and sends the tracking number. Across six years, text reviews agree it cuts hours of copy-paste, is easy to use, and that live chat support answers in minutes. The recurring downsides are: one parcel per consignment on MyPost Business, per-label fees on top of the monthly fee once you pass the free allowance, a weak mobile experience, and occasional Australia Post surcharges for parcel size or weight, which the developer says are Australia Post's to sort out. Install it if you are an Australian store shipping enough Australia Post parcels to value the time saved. Use the trial to work out your real monthly cost at your label volume, and test multi-carton orders before committing.

Fair evidence. 190 text reviews over six years tell a consistent story. But most recent reviews are rating-only bursts that look solicited, and very few reviewers state order volumes, so there is little evidence on how it holds up at high volume.

Right for

  • Australian Shopify stores on a MyPost Business account that now copy addresses into the Australia Post website by hand (9959, 6567, 7450)
  • Small and medium stores that want to keep their own MyPost Business band pricing instead of Shopify's rates (4269, 7450, 3255)
  • Australian stores that also ship overseas and want customs details filled in for them (1728, 1311, 6355)
  • New or non-technical sellers who will lean on live chat during setup (3759, 9126, 3509, 4602)
  • Stores selling on more than one platform, such as eBay, that want shipping handled in one place (6676, 5504)

Wrong for

  • Stores that often send one order in several cartons on MyPost Business. You need a partial-fulfilment workaround, because only eParcel contract accounts can put several parcels on one consignment (6740, 2725, 3536, 5633)
  • Stores that go past the free monthly label allowance and care about cost. Reviewers say the per-label fees on top of the monthly fee add up (6981, 9899, 2794, 0620)
  • Teams that pack and fulfil mainly from a phone (2861, 8562, 2252, 2186)
  • Stores that expect the app to track delivery status and mark orders delivered. It does not (1235)
  • Stores that want per-product carrier rules such as signature on delivery (2725)
  • Rental or returns-heavy stores that need return labels. One reviewer still had to make them by hand in MyPost Business (6649)
  • Stores that don't ship with Australia Post, or aren't in Australia. Almost every reviewer is Australian

What will annoy you

Too expensive: monthly fee plus per-label charges above the free allowance: 8 reviews, rising, last seen 2026-07.

How the developer behaves when it breaks

The developer (Nathan) usually replies to critical reviews within a day or two and answers 44% of negative ones. Replies do three things. They explain Australia Post limits and offer workarounds, such as partial fulfilment for multi-parcel orders (6740, 3536, 3330). They point to a setting that fixes the complaint, such as A6 print settings for bulk 4x6 labels (6908) or automatic payment (5384), or show the account is actually connected (2449). And they push surcharge complaints back to Australia Post (0823, 2702). Rating-only 1★ reviews get a note that the user never contacted support (7341, 2615, 5297). Some replies read as defensive (1235, 9029). Feature requests sometimes ship: label reprint from the Tracking page (7217), and a 'Dense' view after the 2021 redesign complaints (9224). The multi-parcel limit, mobile experience and pricing complaints remain.

Red flags

  • Pricing is a monthly fee plus per-label charges once you pass a free monthly allowance. Several reviewers found the total unclear or much higher than they expected. One said $1200+ a year, another said 4–5 times the cost of other apps 9899 6981 0620 5366 6649
  • Some reviewers get Australia Post extra-postage charges for under-declared parcels. The developer's position is that the app only passes on the dimensions you enter and the scanning is Australia Post's, so expect to settle these yourself 0823 4754 1806 2702

Trend

Review volume jumped about 23 times in the last 12 months, mostly rating-only 5★ in solicited-looking bursts, so volume says little about quality. The negative share is steady (2.4% in the last 12 months vs 2.7% overall). The 2026 text reviews raise more specific problems than earlier years: one parcel per consignment, cost of per-label fees, the mobile experience, and Australia Post size and weight surcharges. Before 2025 the text was mostly praise for support and time saved. The 2021 complaints about the redesigned version have not come back. The only reports of reloads losing work date from 2021–22.
