MyGLS Professional
If you ship GLS in Hungary or nearby CEE countries this does the job and the developer will personally configure it for you — but the 5.0 rating measures that onboarding, not years of running the app at volume.
Should you install it?
For a CEE store shipping with GLS, this does the two jobs merchants ask for: bulk label printing without logging into mygls.com, and a ParcelShop/locker picker in the cart rather than after checkout. The differentiator in the reviews is not the software but the developer, who configures your cart and theme himself, usually within hours and often at weekends — expect to rely on him rather than set it up yourself. Read the 5.0 with care: half the reviewers had used the app under a month, about 19 reviewed inside 24 hours, and one 5-star reviewer states outright that the stars are for the person, not the app. Known gaps are narrow but real: no invoicing integration (a problem if you use Oblio on Shopify Basic), and small defects that surface and then get patched fast. Nothing in 137 reviews tells you how it behaves at high volume, outside CEE, or if the one named developer becomes unavailable.
Thin evidence. Zero negative reviews out of 137, half of reviewers under a month's tenure, roughly 19 reviews written with under 24 hours of use, and a review set that measures a hands-on onboarding call more than the running product. Only one review ([0518]) contains substantive criticism, so the failure surface is essentially unobserved. Positive claims about GLS label printing and ParcelShop in Hungary and neighbouring markets are well evidenced and can be trusted; claims about durability at scale cannot be assessed.
Right for
- Hungarian stores shipping with GLS, including those who also want MPL (Magyar Posta) labels from the same screen on the paid plan [2562, 6810, 3368]
- Stores in Croatia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Czechia and Romania that need a GLS ParcelShop picker shown before the order is placed rather than after [1120, 9586, 2139, 8889]
- Merchants currently keying addresses into mygls.com by hand who want bulk label printing instead [8859, 7312, 4005]
- Small teams with no developer who are happy for the app's author to configure the cart and theme for them [2242, 5270, 8684, 4170]
- Stores wanting COD and delivered-and-paid orders reconciled back to 'paid' automatically [0947, 6676, 3255]
Wrong for
- Anyone needing a carrier other than GLS or MPL — no reviewer mentions any other carrier
- Stores that need invoicing built in: one Romanian merchant hit a wall pairing it with Oblio on the Shopify Basic plan and says the app itself did not earn its 5 stars [0518]
- Merchants who expect to install, configure and go live unaided — the recurring pattern is the developer doing the setup, and one reviewer says the integration routes are unclear at first [9719, 9132, 9211]
- High-volume or enterprise operations wanting proof of scale: no reviewer states an order or parcel count and no review describes behaviour under load
- Stores outside Central and Eastern Europe — 136 of 137 reviews come from HU, HR, SI, RO, SK, CZ; the single German review has no text [5697]
What will annoy you
Not self-serve: the developer configures the store for you, and the choice between GLS integration routes is unclear on your own: 35 reviews, steady, last seen 2026-01.
How the developer behaves when it breaks
Public replies on the listing are rare (9% overall) and all cluster between January and May 2023 — [6615], [3679], [7206], [8859], [4170], [7312], [1987], [0947], [1769], [6676], plus late replies posted 18 April 2023 to the two December 2022 reviews [4535] and [4005]. Nothing has been answered publicly since. The one substantive reply, to [6615], announced a settings fix for the COD-on-bank-deposit problem. Resolution happens in private instead: reviewers describe fixes shipped in under 24 hours [0947], a geolocation patch in two days [3255], a feature request released overnight [3255], and repeat problems solved within hours including in the evening [7021]. There are no negative reviews, so how the developer handles a genuinely dissatisfied merchant is untested in public.

“The label printing works well, the pre-set filters are very useful and the automatic fulfillment status change saves a lot of time.” review 6676
Red flags
- Key-person dependency: roughly 45 reviews name one individual (Ákos) as the person who does the setup, the fixes and the out-of-hours replies. No review describes a support team or a second engineer. If he is unavailable, nothing in these reviews suggests what happens. 9132 3474 2242 5056 3255
- The 5.0 rating partly measures onboarding, not the software. One reviewer says so explicitly while still awarding 5 stars, and another reviewed after 1 day without having tested the product. 0518 9211 9132
Trend
Volume has halved: 19 reviews in the last 12 months against 43 in the prior 12. Themes are unchanged — support speed, ParcelShop setup, label printing — and still no negatives. Recent reviews skew to even shorter tenure than before ([9132] 4 hours, [9211] 1 day, [2242] 2 days), so the newest evidence is the weakest. The one genuinely informative recent review is [0518] (Aug 2025) on the missing invoicing integration. Note that several entries are edited reviews sitting out of date order — [2908], [3226], [7021], [3368], [1183] carry later dates than their list position implies; recency judgements here use the stated date. Public developer replies stopped after May 2023, though in-review accounts of fast private fixes continue through 2025 ([1183] edited Aug 2025, [7021] edited Jun 2025).
