EZLabel: Australia Post Ship

If you're a small Australian store shipping only with Australia Post through MyPost Business, this is a cheap or free way to stop copying orders into AusPost by hand. Just know that printing a label also fulfils the order and emails the customer.

Should you install it?

EZLabel is a single-carrier label tool: it links Shopify to your own Australia Post MyPost Business account, prints AusPost labels in batches (including international parcels with customs forms), and writes tracking back to Shopify. Small Australian stores that ship only with AusPost consistently say setup takes minutes, it saves them from copying orders into MyPost by hand, and it keeps their MyPost Business rates. The free plan is now unlimited according to reviews, and paid tiers are cheap. Before installing, know that printing a label fulfils the order and emails the customer, there's no confirmation before a label is bought, and there are no reports or exports. It's also not for multi-carrier shipping or channels other than Shopify. When something breaks, reviewers say support (often Ian) answers fast and usually fixes it or shows a workaround.

Fair evidence. There are many reviews and they agree on what the app does, but the ratings look heavily prompted: no negatives, 36% of reviewers under a month in, repeated in-app review requests. That leaves only a handful of critical reviews to judge failure modes by, and very few reviewers mention order volumes.

Right for

  • Small and startup Australian Shopify stores that ship only with Australia Post and already have a MyPost Business account (2760, 4817, 6481)
  • Stores sending AusPost flat-rate satchels and boxes, or a few standard box sizes saved as packaging presets (0313, 6091, 2006, 0737)
  • Merchants moving off manual entry on the MyPost Business site, or off pricier label apps, who want labels made from inside Shopify (2777, 4649, 3922)
  • Stores on the Basic Shopify plan that want AusPost labels at their MyPost Business rates (6176, 7664)
  • Low-to-moderate volume sellers, from a few orders to 5+ a day, including occasional international parcels to the US and EU (0737, 7706, 0999)

Wrong for

  • Stores that want to print labels early and fulfil later, or send their own fulfilment email: printing a label fulfils the order (5035, 2962)
  • Multi-carrier shippers. Reviews only ever mention Australia Post; Sendle came up only as a price the merchant checked separately (4600)
  • Merchants who need reports or data exports of shipping costs to match against AusPost statements (2760, 1773)
  • Stores whose parcels vary a lot in weight and size and need quick per-parcel weight overrides (6091, 7006)
  • Stores that need A6 thermal international labels. The developer says MyPost Business doesn't support them (9773, 6835)
  • Stores that want to sell and ship through channels other than Shopify. eBay was requested but never confirmed (2414)

What will annoy you

Clunky screens: too many clicks per label, sideways scrolling, pages too wide: 4 reviews, fading, last seen 2025-09.

How the developer behaves when it breaks

The developer replied to about 19% of reviews. Most replies are stock 'Thanks for the review!' notes from 2023–2024, and replies almost stop after January 2025. On critical or 4-star reviews the developer usually engages and often fixes things. They raised the batch limit from 48 to 120 the morning after a request (9460), added one-off box sizes (6096), explained where to set a default label (9062), and answered a long feature list in detail, after which that reviewer raised the rating to 5 stars (3838). Support fixed a packaging problem in 2026 (6174). Some requests were declined or blamed on MyPost Business: a confirmation before buying (9771) and A6 international labels (9773, 6835). The request to separate printing from fulfilment (2962) is still reported in 2026 (5035). One stock reply was left on a review that was later edited to report no support (5586).

Red flags

  • Printing a label fulfils the Shopify order and emails the customer right away, which can surprise stores that print labels ahead of shipping. Requested in 2024 and still reported in May 2026. 5035 2962
  • No confirmation step before a label is bought, and each label is charged to your MyPost Business account. The developer declined to add one and points users to a refund process instead. 9771
  • One 5-star review was edited in September 2024 to say there was 'absolutely zero support' during an outage that stopped the merchant processing orders for hours. The developer's reply on it reads 'Great to hear, thanks for the review!' That reply is dated May 2024, before the edit, so it answered the original text. It's a single report, not a pattern. 5586

Trend

Review volume is up: 408 reviews in the last 12 months against 250 in the 12 before, with still no negative ratings. The themes haven't changed: easy use, time saved, free plan. The free plan got more generous over time, going from 30 to 125 bookings a month and then unlimited orders (0946, 8529, 2760). Batch size and screen-width complaints from 2023–2024 have mostly stopped. Newer complaints are the auto-fulfil behaviour (May 2026), constant review prompts (August 2026), a packaging problem in June 2026 that support resolved, and requests for weight overrides and cost exports. Public developer replies mostly stopped after early 2025, but reviewers still praise support in 2026.
