Zasilkovna • Packeta Pickup
If you ship Packeta in CZ/SK it does the job and the support team is genuinely fast, but without Shopify Plus your customer only picks their pickup point after they have already paid — and no review confirms that has been fixed.
Should you install it?
For a Czech or Slovak store shipping with Packeta, this does what it says: customers pick a pickup point, orders export in one click, labels print in bulk, and fulfilment status flows back — and the support team answers in Czech and Slovak within minutes, including weekends and evenings. The decisive caveat is placement: unless you are on Shopify Plus, the pickup-point chooser appears on the thank-you page after the customer has paid, and one merchant measured that 90% of customers never complete the selection, which leaves you chasing addresses manually. Nothing in the 84 reviews confirms that has been fixed; the last report is July 2025, from a 5-star reviewer listing it as the only downside. Expect occasional widget and data glitches — the map not loading, a wrong tariff, a bad export into Packeta — roughly once or twice a year in the review record, most recently June 2026; in every case support closed them quickly, but you will be the one who notices. If Packeta pickup is a minority of your orders or you are not on Plus, test the thank-you-page flow with real customers before you commit.
Fair evidence. 65 of 84 reviews have text and there is a genuine multi-year cohort, so the core workflow is well evidenced. But the corpus is dominated by support thank-yous, several written within minutes or hours of installing, and 26% of reviewers were under a month in — so it says a lot about responsiveness and almost nothing about how the app behaves unattended at volume. Only one order-volume figure appears in the whole set. With just two negatives, one of them text-free, the failure picture rests on three 'but…' reviews rather than a broad sample.
Right for
- Czech and Slovak stores whose main or only carrier is Zásilkovna/Packeta
- Small teams with no developer: repeated reports of setup being done unaided, with live-chat support closing the gaps
- Stores that want one-click export plus label printing instead of copying orders into the Packeta system by hand
- Long-running stores wanting a stable integration — several reviewers are 2, 3 and almost 5 years in and still positive
- Stores fulfilling through an external warehouse or third-party fulfilment provider (two reviewers report this working)
Wrong for
- Stores not on Shopify Plus that need the pickup-point chooser inside checkout — on other plans it appears on the thank-you page after payment, and one merchant measured that 90% of customers never complete the choice
- Merchants migrating from WooCommerce who expect automatic label creation and hand-off to fulfilment out of the box
- Anyone needing carriers other than Packeta — Digismoothie ships Balíkovna as a separate app
- High-volume operations wanting proof the app holds up at scale: the reviews contain almost no volume figures
What will annoy you
Pickup-point map / widget fails to load or shows wrong data (wrong tariff, bad export to Packeta); always fixed by support, but it recurs across years: 8 reviews, steady, last seen 2026-06.
How the developer behaves when it breaks
Reply rate is 32% overall but 100% on negative reviews. Replies are substantive rather than boilerplate on complaints: on the missing-automation 1-star the developer (Martin) replied publicly that automation is planned and said he would email to ask how the merchant would use it [7640]; on the text-free 1-star they replied that they had emailed to ask what went wrong [0822]. Neither has a follow-up confirming resolution. The stronger evidence is in the reviews themselves — merchants repeatedly describe bugs being closed in live chat within hours, naming Lucia, Marcela, Nina, Tina and Tomáš Janů [2460, 3397, 4398, 0419, 6911]. A burst of replies in Jan–Feb 2026 covers even no-text 5-star ratings, which reads as a review-management push rather than problem-solving.

Red flags
- Wrong data can pass through silently: one merchant had the wrong tariff displayed and incorrect exports into Packeta, caught only after orders were already flowing (fixed after she reported it). 3397
- The one recent 1-star left no text and the developer's public reply says they emailed to ask what broke; nothing in the corpus shows it was resolved, so the reason that store left is unknown. 0822
- Automatic export to Packeta with automatic fulfilment is described as an 'advanced plan' feature, so the free/lower tier is not the full workflow. No reviewer states prices, and no reviewer reports a billing surprise. 2010
Trend
Volume has more than doubled — 47 reviews in the last 12 months against 20 in the prior 12 — and negative share is flat and tiny (2.1% recently vs 2.4% overall). Reviews in the last year are noticeably shorter and more support-focused ('Skvělá a rychlá podpora', 'Great support') than the 2021–2024 ones, which described the export and label workflow in detail; that is a shift in what reviewers write about, not evidence the product improved. The two substantive complaints of 2024 — checkout placement [1574] and missing label automation [7640] — have not reappeared, but nor has any review confirmed either was fixed. The newest criticisms are milder and newer in kind: minor inaccuracies in the first month [5271, June 2026], an integration described as 'zatím není perfektní' [8864, May 2026], and a chatbot that only half-helped [8409, July 2026].
