Colissimo Official
If you ship with Colissimo from France, this is the app people stay on Colissimo for — a small French team answers in minutes and ships fixes in hours — but it is a pass-through to La Poste's web services, so when those break your labels stop and nobody can help you.
Should you install it?
If Colissimo is your carrier, this is the tool to use — several merchants say the app is the reason they stayed with Colissimo at all ([2569], [6713], [7875]), and it does things La Poste's own Coliship could not, like driving a thermal printer and letting customers make their own return labels. The real product here is the support team: answers in minutes, in French, by phone or video call, with custom fixes deployed in under a day; that is consistent across six years and is not marketing gloss. The honest caveat is that this app is a pass-through to Colissimo's web services, and winter 2025-26 showed what that costs — two merchants lost Monday mornings unable to print labels, and the developer's own reply confirms it has no lever when La Poste is down. The last four months of reviews are clean and a well-received rewrite shipped mid-2026, so treat that episode as fading rather than current, but assume it will happen again and keep a manual fallback. Price is the one live complaint: ~19-20€/month scaled to your Shopify plan, with rate sync gated behind the $299 plan and no small-volume tier.
Fair evidence. 223 reviews with text over six years and a clean, verifiable recent tail is a lot to work with, and the failure modes are specific and dated. But the corpus is skewed: 30% of reviewers had under a month of use, several wrote within hours, and almost all reviews are post-ticket thank-yous that measure support speed rather than shipping reliability. Only five negatives exist in total, so the failure picture rests on very few voices. Several product limits — rate sync gating, the post-payment pickup-point window — are known only from single 2020-2024 reviews with no later confirmation either way, and no reviewer states an order volume, so behaviour at scale is unevidenced.
Right for
- French stores shipping domestically with Colissimo as their main or only carrier
- Merchants who want customers to pick a point relais and to generate their own return labels ([3859], [3068], [6848])
- Stores printing to a thermal label printer, including setups La Poste's own Coliship/interface would not drive ([9377], [4439], [9002])
- Non-technical owners who want guided setup, tutorial videos and a human on the phone or a video call ([4745], [7648], [4899])
- Sellers who also need Colissimo labels for orders that did not come from Shopify, e.g. Amazon ([2569], [9377])
- Overseas-France and nearby stores: Martinique, Réunion, Monaco ([4076], [4387], [0180], [4899])
Wrong for
- Very low-volume sellers — no free or small tier, ~19-20€/month is a stated blocker ([9829], [5793])
- Stores wanting Colissimo contract rates synced automatically into Shopify — reviewer was told this needs the $299 Shopify plan ([0664])
- Merchants on Basic/Shopify/Advanced plans who need the pickup-point picker shown before payment for conversion reasons ([1650]) — possibly changed with the new checkout, reviews do not confirm
- Anyone needing a multi-carrier setup — reviews only ever describe Colissimo/La Poste
- Operations that cannot absorb a day of no labels when La Poste's web services are down ([0789], [0785])
- Complex non-EU shipping — one reviewer found it not fully suited to their case ([6848])
What will annoy you
Missing workflow conveniences: filters cannot be saved and orders cannot be archived; no Excel bulk upload to print a list of orders; no Lettre Suivie support; cannot print outbound and return slips together; insurance is ad valorem only; Colissimo price not shown on the label-creation screen: 5 reviews, fading, last seen 2023-12.
How the developer behaves when it breaks
Replies to 100% of negative reviews (5 of 5) and, since roughly early 2026, to nearly every review including 5★ ones — which inflates the visible reply rate without adding information. On negatives the tone is detailed and defensive, and consistently attributes the cause elsewhere: to Colissimo/La Poste (DDoS, Chrome blocking Colissimo's thermal print kit) in [0789] and [0785]; to a Shopify billing bug in [5147], with a refund actually issued; to a Shopify plan restriction in [0664]; to Colissimo's web services not exposing the data in [1500]. Twice it publicly contradicts the reviewer's account ([0785], [5793]). Against that, the record of actually shipping fixes is strong and recent: a typo corrected the next day ([3897]), a requested feature built in under 24 hours ([0443]), a patch deployed in a few exchanges ([9077]), and a fix for blocked international shipments ([8880]). It also owned a support-ticketing outage unprompted in [1635]. So: problems inside the app get fixed fast; problems in Colissimo's services get explained, not fixed.
What goes wrong 8 recurring themes
- Repeated blocked shipping days in Oct-Dec 2025 — merchants could not print labels, notably Monday mornings clearing weekend orders. Developer attributes it to Colissimo's thermal print kit being blocked by Chrome and a DDoS on La Poste's services, not to its own releases; both reviewers blamed untested new versions. 2 reviews fading, last seen 2025-12
“depuis quelques mois c'est infernal ! Les nouvelles versions sont lancées sans être testées correctement et plus rien ne fonctionne le lundi matin quand il faut expédier toutes les commandes du week-end !!!!!!!” review 0789
- Price — roughly 19-20€/month, tied to your Shopify plan, with no free or small-volume tier. The only live complaint theme of the last 12 months. 4 reviews steady, last seen 2026-03
“beaucoup trop cher ... beaucoup de problèmes” review 5793
- Charged ~19€ despite uninstalling inside the 7-day trial. Developer says it is a Shopify billing-cycle bug, not theirs, and refunded the merchant. 1 review fading, last seen 2025-06
“Même si vous désinstallez l'application avant la fin de l'essai, vous serez quand même facturé 19€ par shopify.” review 5147
Also 5147 - Pickup-point setup and customer selection friction — relay codes not passing to the 3PL, customers unable to validate their choice, forcing manual entry in the back office. Always fixed quickly by support, but it recurs across years. 4 reviews steady, last seen 2025-06
“Message envoyer pour un problème au niveau du choix des point relais , 30 minutes plus tard le problème est résolu” review 7313
- On Basic/Shopify/Advanced Shopify plans the Colissimo pickup-point window only opens after the customer has paid, which the reviewer says can cut conversion. One 2026 review mentions compatibility with the new checkout; the reviews do not confirm whether this is fixed. 1 review fading, last seen 2024-02
“pour les abonnements Shopify BASIC, SHOPIFY et ADVANCED, la fenêtre Colissimo pour le choix du point relais ne s'ouvrira qu'après le paiement du client. En conséquence, cela peut entraîner une diminution du taux de conversion.” review 1650
Also 1650 - Shipping rates and zones must be entered by hand; syncing your Colissimo account rates into Shopify requires the $299 Shopify plan, per the developer's reply. A buying constraint, not a bug. 1 review fading, last seen 2020-04
“tous les prix et zones doivent être entrés manuellement (à 15$/mois) j'aurai aimé avoir une synchronisation de mon compte Colissimo avec mes prix et Shopify.” review 0664
Also 0664 - Order sync gaps — orders not downloading, or a label printed without the order being marked as shipped, risking a duplicate send 3 reviews fading, last seen 2025-09
“sur 50 commandes : 1 n'a pas été enregistrée comme expédiée, bien que l'étiquette colissimo avait bien été imprimée” review 9669
- Missing workflow conveniences: filters cannot be saved and orders cannot be archived; no Excel bulk upload to print a list of orders; no Lettre Suivie support; cannot print outbound and return slips together; insurance is ad valorem only; Colissimo price not shown on the label-creation screen 5 reviews fading, last seen 2023-12
“c'est dommage qu'on ne puisse pas enregistrer les filtres, ça enlève tout l'intérêt d'avoir des filtres. De plus il faudrait pouvoir archiver les commandes qu'on ne veut pas traiter” review 2305

Red flags
- Hard structural dependency on Colissimo/La Poste web services: when they are unstable, label generation is impossible and the app vendor has no workaround. The developer states this plainly in its own replies. This will recur — plan a fallback for outage days. 0789 0785
- Billing after uninstalling during the 7-day trial. One report, blamed on a Shopify billing-cycle bug, refunded by the developer. Watch your first invoice if you trial and uninstall. 5147
- Developer replies to negative reviews are detailed but combative and sometimes dispute the reviewer's facts in public — e.g. pointing out a complainant of '2 months of bugs' had only used the app 27 days, and noting no support ticket existed. Accurate, but expect pushback rather than accommodation if you post a bad review. 0785 5793
- Pricing is not flat: it is tied to your Shopify plan, and the rate-sync feature is gated behind the $299 Shopify plan. Check what you will actually pay and get before installing. 5793 0664
Trend
Volume is accelerating: 64 reviews in the last 12 months versus 34 the year before, about 5.3/month. Negative share also rose, from 2.2% lifetime to 4.7% in the last 12 months, but that is three reviews and they cluster tightly. Oct 2025-Mar 2026 was the app's worst stretch in six years: two merchants reported repeatedly blocked shipping days ([0789], [0785], both Dec 2025) and one a vague 'beaucoup de problèmes' ([5793], Mar 2026). The developer attributes the period to Colissimo's thermal print kit being blocked by Chrome and a DDoS on La Poste's services, and says it rebuilt the print kit in an emergency. Everything from Apr 2026 to the latest review (29 Jul 2026) is clean — I checked each one. The only issues raised since are individual and resolved within the hour ([4594], [4745], [8880]). A major new version landed around mid-2026 and long-tenured users praise it ([1571], [1856], [0131]). Net: quality dipped hard through winter 2025-26 and has recovered, but the underlying dependency that caused the dip has not changed.
