Shipr for Amazon FBA / MCF
Cheap, simple and genuinely good at FBA/MCF fulfilment when it runs, but reviewers from 2022, 2024 and as recently as March 2026 report the automation silently stopping or tracking not posting back, and you find out when customers complain.
Should you install it?
This is a low-cost, narrow app that moves Shopify orders into Amazon FBA/MCF, keeps FBA stock in Shopify and posts Amazon tracking back — and for most reviewers, over months and years, it does that. Its real strengths are SKU mapping for products sold both FBM and FBA, per-line-item tracking for orders split across fulfilment centres, and support that answers in plain English and sometimes ships requested features in days. The catch, reported in 2022, 2024 and again in March 2026, is that the automation can silently stop or ship without writing tracking back, and you learn about it from customers rather than from the app; the most detailed reviewer needed ~10 tickets over 5 months and describes the eventual fix as account-level, not a product fix. Support fixes what you report, but expect several attempts, and public replies to negative reviews have taken up to three months. Install it if FBA/MCF is your warehouse and you can live with a daily eyeball on unfulfilled orders; don't install it if a missed fulfilment costs you more than the app saves.
Fair evidence. 34 reviews over 67 months is thin, and 38% of reviewers had the app under a month — too short to hit the failure that matters. But the picture is anchored by genuinely long-tenure reviews on both sides (2+ years and ~2 years positive; 5-6 months negative; a 5-month 3★ with a longitudinal 4-month update), and the central failure theme is independently reported in three different years plus conceded once by the developer. Enough to judge the shape of the app; not enough to put a rate on how often the stalls happen, or to judge pricing, order-volume ceilings or carrier behaviour, none of which the reviews describe.
Right for
- Small-to-mid stores using Shopify as the source of truth and Amazon FBA/MCF as their only or main warehouse (0552 ran ~400 orders through it; 3101 over 2 years; 8833 almost 2 years)
- Sellers who list the same product as both FBM and FBA and need SKU mapping to one Shopify product (6061, 8302)
- Stores whose orders originate on other channels — eBay, Amazon, Facebook, Pinterest, Google — and land in Shopify for FBA fulfilment (5452, 0552, 7506)
- Merchants who need per-line-item tracking because MCF ships one order from several fulfilment centres (8838)
- Merchants who want to decide FBA vs own-warehouse per order or by inventory level (8789, 8838)
- Price-sensitive stores that found the better-known FBA apps too expensive (8302, 0190, 2887)
Wrong for
- Stores where a missed fulfilment or a missing tracking number is unacceptable — the recurring failure is silent, not loud (2887, 3938, 7744)
- Multi-warehouse stores needing fulfilment to act at fulfilment-order level rather than whole-order level; the developer said in Sept 2024 they were working on it and no later review confirms it shipped (5726)
- Stores running post-purchase or upsell apps — one reviewer reports quantities sync wrongly in that setup; single report, May 2024, thin evidence (7744)
- Sellers needing more than one Amazon account/marketplace under one store — one reviewer asked for 'multiple US Amazons' and it was a gap (9447)
- Anyone who wants self-serve setup from documentation alone; two reviewers hit install problems and called the docs vague or got no reply before posting (7747, 7744)
What will annoy you
Auto-fulfilment silently stops, or the order ships but no tracking is written back to Shopify — merchant finds out when customers chase: 4 reviews, steady, last seen 2026-03.
How the developer behaves when it breaks
Replies to almost everything, including every negative review (stats: 85% overall, 100% on negatives), but the replies are largely templated thank-yous on positives — several are word-for-word identical across years. On negatives the behaviour splits. Where the fault was theirs they said so and fixed it: on 7744 they conceded 'we did have a bug with the sync service which prevented the syncing of products' and said it was fixed. On 7248 and 7747 they disputed the merchant's account of what the app does and pointed to an unanswered support address. Latency on public negative replies is poor — 7744 (7 May 2024) and 7008 (16 May 2024) were both answered 5 Aug 2024. Over email, the picture is better but slow to converge: 2887 is the best evidence either way, documenting ~10 tickets over 5 months with issues recurring every 2-3 weeks before things settled, and crucially the reviewer frames the fix as account-level, not a product fix. Two reviewers had feature requests shipped (8833 in 2 days; 6061's SKU mapping, also 8302).

“Mysteriously the app suddenly stops doing automatic orders without any reason, then sometimes the order is processed but the tracking link is not updated.” review 2887
- Bugs recur after being fixed; several rounds of tickets to make one issue stay fixed 2 reviews steady, last seen 2026-03
“Over the past 4 months there were similar issues that appeared in a regular basis (every 2-3 weeks)” review 2887
- No support reply reached the merchant during a failed install or outage 3 reviews steady, last seen 2026-01
“There is not support for the product and documentation is vague.” review 7747
- App slow to load or not loading at all 1 review fading, last seen 2024-05
“Constantly loading slowly or not loading at all.” review 7744
Also 7744 - Fulfilment acts at order level, not fulfilment-order level — a blocker for multi-warehouse stores; developer said they were working on it, no later review confirms it shipped 1 review steady, last seen 2024-09
“I requested that the fulfillent shoud be done on "fulfilment order" level and not on "order" level and they are working on it.” review 5726
Also 5726 - Inventory zeroed out during setup for SKUs not listed on Amazon — one report, disputed by the developer who blamed a clash with Shopify's own Amazon integration, and contradicted by a long-tenure user at the same time 1 review resolved, last seen 2021-10
“Changed all the shopify inventory quantity to 0 when not listed on Amazon destroyed our sales on ebay and shopify and lost all sales history on popular items.” review 7248

- SKU mapping and per-order choice of FBA vs own warehouse 4 reviews
“This is the only app I've found that can map skus so I can have one product in shopify for both FBM and FBA.” review 6061
- Fulfils orders that originated on other channels, and posts tracking per line item 4 reviews
“Uploads tracking information by line item rather than by the entire order. This is CRITICAL when your orders often get shipped out of multiple fulfillment centers and therefore have multiple tracking numbers.” review 8838
Red flags
- The main failure mode is silent. When automation stalls or tracking isn't posted, nothing alerts you — three reviewers learned of it from customer complaints, refunds or chargebacks. Budget for a daily check on unfulfilled orders. Last reported March 2026. 2887 3938 7744
- Public replies to angry reviews can take months. The 1★ of 7 May 2024 and the 1★ of 16 May 2024 were both answered on 5 August 2024 — about three months. This sits awkwardly next to the 'always a quick response' praise. 7744 7008
- One merchant says a failed install left them intending to dispute charges with their card company; the developer replied next day disputing the account of what the app does. Single report, 24 hours of use, no corroboration — thin, but it is the only billing signal in the set. 7747
- The developer sometimes disputes the merchant's account rather than investigating publicly (7248, 7747), though on a real sync bug they admitted it outright (7744: 'we did have a bug with the sync service'). Worth knowing which response you'll get. 7248 7747 7744
Trend
Nine reviews in the last 12 months (Sept 2025 onward) vs five the year before — volume roughly doubled but is still under one a month. Eight of those nine are 5★ and mostly short: 'Great app', 'price is reasonable, and support has been good', 'Easy installation and configuring'. The praise themes are unchanged from 2021 — support quality, simple setup, time saved. The failure themes are also unchanged. The stall-and-no-tracking complaint runs 2022 (3938) → 2024 (7744) → 2026 (2887, edited 4 March 2026), and is corroborated inside a positive review from Sept 2025 ('Although the system is occasionally offline' — 3665). That is the single most important fact in this digest: it is a current risk, not a historical one. The inventory-zeroing scare goes the other way — last seen Oct 2021, one hour of use, and not repeated in the 30+ reviews since. Recent negatives are install-stage failures (7747, Jan 2026) rather than the 2024-era 'nothing syncs at all' outages, which suggests the gross sync outages eased while the intermittent stalls did not.
