17TRACK Order Tracking

A good branded tracking page that covers a lot of carriers and comes with fast chat help, but watch your quota, don't expect a refund once you upgrade, and don't trust the star rating.

Should you install it?

17TRACK does one job well for most stores: a branded tracking page on your site and shipping emails, fed by a large carrier network. It suits dropshippers and stores using regional carriers, and the free plan works for stores under about 50 shipments a month. Setup is easy and chat support replies fast. The weak points show up once you pay or grow: quota can run out quickly and disputes about it get defended rather than refunded, refunds are refused even minutes after an upgrade, and several merchants hit late or wrong last-mile data or sync that stopped without warning. Before you trust it, test your main carriers on the free plan and check the quota counter against your real shipments.

Thin evidence. Most reviews are solicited or come from installs under a month old, so the high rating mainly reflects the first chat with support. The judgement here relies on about 40 detailed critical reviews, which are fairly consistent but few.

Right for

  • Dropshippers using AliExpress/DSers, Zendrop or AutoDS suppliers who want to hide China origin and carrier names on the tracking page (1169, 4481, 6440, 3743, 3252)
  • New or small stores that fit inside the free plan of about 50 shipments a month (4507, 7850, 6751, 5630)
  • Stores using local or less common carriers outside the US, for example DHL eCommerce Türkiye, Andreani (Argentina), Olva Courier (Peru), India Post, Croatian carriers, SF Express or Boxtal (7157, 8205, 1076, 0063, 7676, 2765, 3717)
  • Merchants who want a tracking page on their own domain plus shipping emails that work with Klaviyo and Shopify Flow (8338, 8528, 6410, 9917)

Wrong for

  • Merchants who want to test a paid plan and get their money back if it doesn't fit. Reviewers were refused refunds after 30 minutes, 5 minutes and less than 24 hours (4732, 5923, 3429, 7973, 4892)
  • Stores with low, uneven volume that want to pay per use. You can't buy prepaid credits without a subscription (6081, 4844, 9676)
  • Stores that run returns or warranty requests off orders older than 180 days (2401)
  • Brands that want polished, ready-made notification email designs without building them by hand (3429, 3731, 9714)
  • Stores whose main carrier has a history of sync problems here. Test it first: one UK store dropped the app over weeks of Royal Mail failures, one store's Royal Mail numbers from MintSoft weren't read, and DB Schenker Sweden wasn't supported (1894, 1828, 7674)

What will annoy you

Support is quick to reply but gives scripted or wrong answers on harder problems, and follow-ups get missed: 10 reviews, steady, last seen 2026-07.

How the developer behaves when it breaks

The developer replies to most negative reviews (79% by the stats) with long, templated apologies. On billing and quota complaints the replies usually argue the charge was correct and offer usage logs or extra quota rather than a refund (0251, 6974, 4732, 2035, 7973). Some fixes did happen: a sync billing bug fixed and confirmed by the reviewer (7516), email-sending logic changed (9802), last-mile carrier display added after pushing (8528), a refund when the promised languages weren't supported (8378), tracking links restored (7348), and an old order synced by hand plus a pointer to the separate 17RETURNS system (2401). Some recent 1-star reviews got no reply: 5649, 5923, 4892, 4926.

Red flags

  • No refunds in practice once you pay. Requests were refused 5 minutes, 30 minutes and less than 24 hours after upgrading, and a 72-hour window is enforced even when support delays pushed the merchant past it 5923 4732 3429 7973 4892
  • Billing and quota disputes: paid quota 'used up abnormally', extra charges, and double charges on upgrade that Shopify ended up refunding 0251 6974 0968 5791 2035
  • A retention discount promised in the cancellation flow never arrived, and the promised escalation had no follow-up for a month 0779
  • Silent breakage: sync to Shopify stopped, there is no alert when the app stops working, and one merchant wasn't told the trial ended so tracking was down for days 5649 4534 0109
  • Hard to leave cleanly: installing rewrote Shopify tracking links that broke after uninstall, and a reinstall wiped settings and put features the merchant had before behind a paid plan 7348 6465 3933 1616
  • Logo removal and extra quota tied to leaving a review, which inflates the rating 0124 7235 3996 7279 3933

Trend

Review volume has grown: 2,149 reviews in the last 12 months against 1,311 the year before. The share of negative reviews is flat at about 1%. Recent reviews are mostly short agent shout-outs from brand-new installs, so there is less real evidence per review than in 2022–2023. Complaints in 2025–2026 are about quota and billing, refusals to refund, wrong or scripted support answers on complex issues, silent sync failures and the 180-day order window. Older complaints about the install rewriting tracking links and switching on customer emails haven't appeared since December 2024, and the 2021–2023 anger over free quota being cut has gone quiet.
